Where should I park?
The main lot near the Lowcountry Welcome Center will be the closest lot to where the wedding is happening. There will be staff to greet you and let you know you are going in the right direction to the festivities!
What is the dress code?
We'd love for everyone to dress up with us! The attire is Black Tie so tuxes and long dresses are encouraged.
What shoes should I wear?
Since the ceremony is on grass, we recommend wedges or block heels, but we will also have staff prepared with heel stoppers if guests choose to wear stilettos.
Is the venue accessible?
Yes, Brookgreen Gardens is wheelchair accessible. If you require assistance from the parking lot to the ceremony site, please let us know so we can coordinate a golf cart pickup. We will have a Brookgreen volunteer on site with a golf cart.
Can we smoke in the gardens?
Because Brookgreen is a protected wildlife and sculpture preserve, we ask that you stay on the marked paths and avoid touching the sculptures. Also, the venue is smoke-free, except in specific designated areas.
What will the weather be like?
October in the Lowcountry is beautiful, with mild and sunny days in the mid-to-upper 70s that are perfect for outdoor celebrations. As the sun goes down, the coastal breeze can get a bit chilly, so we recommend bringing a light jacket or wrap to stay comfortable for the evening!
